Interview 18 had ik met nog een rapper (en producer, en …) van de jonge generatie in Gent. Een visionair met grote ideeën: Mitchel. We hadden het over zijn eerste stappen in de rap, zijn project Young Vision en veel meer.

When we talk about today’s modern era of rappers the diversity has reached its peak. We can hear lyrical rappers, new wave trap stars & a thousand more variants. Mitchel however has seemingly created his own religion of rap. Going along with this New HipHop Wave doesn’t mean the lyrics don’t have to mean nothing. Metaphors, calmly delivered punchlines & absurd humor is accompanied by the nastiest 808’s, futuristic synths & more. This while being able to produce & mix his own records feels like a certain recipe for destruction.
In the summer of 2013 a young Mitchelangelo became very much into HipHop & rap, he was obsessed by the likes of 50 Cent, The Black Eyed Peas, Wiz Khalifa & Eminem. He started writing his own lyrics at the age of 10 & never quit. On the age of 15 he surprised his whole school with a performance at a Talent Show. From that moment he has been releasing music & working on his craft on a daily basis.
